Doorstep Photos - What to expect
Once you've made contact with me, we'll agree on a date and a time slot. Apologies if it takes me a little while to reply - like most of my customers we are also juggling both parents trying to work around young kids being at home full-time.
On the day of the shoot, I'll come to your home and message you to let you know I'm here. I'll take photos from a distance for 10-15 minutes and I'll give you some guidance on what I think will work. I might give you some prompts to create more natural-looking photographs, but only if I think I need to.
I'll snap away and take several photos, which I will then go home and edit.
As things have been very busy, it is currently 3 days to turn around your photos and I will send you the best of what I took on a downloadable link.
Because these mini Doorstep shoots are so in demand. and high volume for me, I'm cutting right down on the admin. I don't send my usual terms and conditions out like I would with a normal family booking. But here are the key things you need to know:
1. The photos I take remain my copyright materials and I will use these on my website, blog and social media. Unless you specifically request that I don't, because there is a safeguarding issue with one or both of the parent's job and/or children appearing on social media.
2. The photos I send you are yours to print, share and post on social media - please tag me @hannahbrookephoto (on both Facebook and Instagram) if you do!
3. I won't spend a lot of time photoshopping minor imperfections out of these pictures, they are a snapshot of a moment in time.
4. Please don't ask me to enter your house or to breach any of the current government guidelines on social distancing.
PLEASE ALSO KNOW...
I really am very grateful to all of you for booking me during this time. I thought my business was going to take a long time to get back on its feet when lockdown began.
The price is not a reflection of my normal photography packages or services, it's specific to lockdown and reflects the difficult times we are in. I wanted to "give a gift" back to the community - but also keep my business alive and my family fed.
You can redeem £20 against a FULL family shoot in future - so technically, the doorstep photos are still a gift!
